What is peer-to-peer fundraising?
Peer-to-Peer fundraising is a technique in which individual supporters like you reach out to your network to fundraise on behalf of an organization. This can be done online or offline. This allows supporters to share the work Save the Children is doing to keep kids healthy, educated and safe in the U.S. and around the world.
Why should I create an online fundraising page?
By creating your own fundraising page, you’ll have an easy way to tell your story on why supporting Save the Children is important to you and secure donations to ensure our life saving work can continue. Using your online fundraising page, you can collect credit card donations and ensure your donors receive a tax receipt via email quickly.
Yes! When you give, 85% of every dollar goes straight to our mission to provide lifesaving relief to children. Every dollar makes a difference! Here are just a few examples:
$25 - can provide enough food to keep one child from going hungry for a month
$35 - can wrap seven warm, cozy blankets around children affected by conflict
$50 - can provide more than a month’s worth of water to three children at school
Are donations tax deductible?
Yes, Save the Children Federation, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization and your donation is deductible to the full extent allowable under IRS regulations. Please consult a tax advisor regarding the tax deductibility of your donation.
Do you take cash or checks?
Please convert all cash to checks or money orders payable to Save the Children then mail them to the address below. Be sure to include P2P Fundraiser, your name and your team’s name (if applicable) to ensure you get credit for every donation.

Is there a fundraising minimum?
No - but every donation makes a difference. We need your help to keep children healthy, educated and safe!
Is it difficult to set up a fundraising page?
No. We’ve made it easy to set up a page, and it takes most people about 10 minutes – a little longer if you add a personal story and upload a photo, which we highly recommend.
Can I fundraise as a team?
Yes, you can fundraise individually or as a team. Please create a team fundraiser if you want friends/family to join you with their own fundraising page totals and logins (don’t worry all totals roll into the team page total).
A donation is missing from my fundraising page, where is it?
Mailed donations typically appear within three weeks of receiving them. If you think one is missing, please email [email protected] with donation details.
