Save the Children Statement on Use of Its Name

Public Contact: [email protected]

FAIRFIELD, Conn. (February 27, 2026) – Save the Children is an international, humanitarian organization that has been protecting children around the world for more than 100 years. Save the Children has been fighting against the exploitation of, and violence against, children since its inception, ensuring the safety and well-being of all children across the world.

In the United States, Save the Children is the sole owner of the registered trademark "Save the Children."  We recognize that the public-facing use of our brand name and hashtag is causing confusion among our supporters and the general public. While people may leverage our name to make their point on different issues, we are not affiliated or associated with any of these campaigns or activities.

While Save the Children is dedicated to combating child trafficking through prevention, protection, and prosecution, we are not the leading organization in this field. We work with governments, local organizations and civil society to protect children from being exploited -- and to help restore the dignity of those who have survived.  We are a member of WePROTECT, a global alliance dedicated to ending the sexual exploitation of children online. Please visit WePROTECT  to learn more about organizations dedicated to fighting child trafficking and other forms of child exploitation and abuse.
