Dr. Tina Garrett-Ragland, PhD
Chief Administrative Officer
Dr. Tina Garrett-Ragland is Chief Administrative Officer at Save the Children US. In this role, she leads the Business Operations and Shared Services Division, which includes People and Culture, Business and Technology Solutions, Project Management, Internal Audit, Global Safety and Security, and Building Services. She also spearheads the organization’s strategy and business review coordination, transformation initiatives, and crisis management efforts. Prior to her current role, Tina served as Save the Children’s Chief People and Culture Officer.
A seasoned human resources executive, Tina brings over 20 years of experience shaping transformative people and culture strategies across global and national organizations, including in finance, insurance, retail and state government. Before joining Save the Children, Tina held several human resources leadership roles at Pacific Life, Genworth Financial, and Advance Auto Parts.
For eight years, Tina served as Workforce Development Chair for the Viriginia Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) State Council, supporting organizations and SHRM Chapters across the state. She has held board roles with the Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities, Hudson Institute’s Customer Advisory Board, Miriam’s House, and Girls on the Run. She is currently a member of the CNBC Workforce Executive Council.
Tina is sought after for her insights on leadership, workforce development, and organizational transformation. Her past speaking engagements include events hosted by DiversityMBA, Gartner C-level Communities, and Hudson Coaching Insights.
Tina holds a Bachelor of Science in business and an MBA, as well as a PhD in global leadership and change and consulting certification from Pepperdine University. She is a certified professional coach, speaker and trainer through the Institute of Professional Excellence in Coaching (IPEC) and The John Maxwell Team. Tina lives in Virginia with her family.
