M. Lyndon Haviland

Lyndon Haviland is an international public health leader with more than 30 years of experience advancing global health and equity. As founder of Lyndon Haviland & Co. LLC, she has partnered with United Nations agencies, international NGOs and former Heads of State to lead major global health initiatives, including the UN Secretary General’s Global Strategy for Women’s and Children’s Health. That effort united all UN member states around a shared plan that helped save more than 16 million lives and mobilized over $40 billion in resources to improve outcomes for women and children worldwide.

Lyndon has collaborated with organizations such as GAVI, UN Women, WHO and the Aspen Institute, to name a few, and her thought leadership has been featured in leading media outlets including The Hill, USA Today and HuffPost. She serves on the board of the American Public Health Association and as Chair of the City University of New York’s School of Public Health Foundation. Previously, Lyndon served on the boards of Forest Trends Association, the University of Maryland College Park and the University of New Mexico.

Lyndon holds both a master’s degree and doctorate in public health from Columbia University’s Joseph L. Mailman School of Public Health, and completed Advanced Management and Leadership training at Harvard Business School. She is a recipient of Columbia University’s John and Kathleen Gorman Public Health Humanitarian Award.
